Can I use MoneyRoom without connecting a bank?

Yes. You can add cards and track benefits manually. A bank connection is optional and is used only for features that depend on connected account activity.

How does Best Card make a recommendation?

Best Card compares cards already in your wallet for a purchase category and keeps the ranking factors visible. Issuer terms and card facts can change, so current issuer terms remain the final authority.

What can I record for a card benefit?

You can track the benefit period, used and remaining value, manual entries, connected evidence when enabled, and prior activity in one benefit record.

Does MoneyRoom send reminders?

MoneyRoom supports push reminders in the iOS app for selected credit-expiry and annual-fee events. You choose the categories in Settings, and delivery still depends on device and platform notification settings.

Bank connections

Who receives my bank credentials?

You enter institution credentials in Plaid Link. Plaid receives those credentials; MoneyRoom does not receive the bank credentials entered in that flow.

What can a connected account let MoneyRoom do?

The configured Plaid products can provide read-only account, balance, and transaction context that you authorize. MoneyRoom does not configure payment or transfer products.

Can I disconnect an institution?

Yes. Settings includes a connection-removal flow that removes the institution from your workspace and begins Plaid item revocation.

Points & travel

How are points and miles presented?

Balances stay separated by program, with transfer context shown where MoneyRoom has verified it. The product does not present estimates as fixed travel value.

How does lounge access work?

Search an airport to inspect matching lounge access and the source card beside it. Access rules, guests, hours, and enrollment requirements can change, so confirm current entry terms before travel.

Pricing

Can I start before choosing a paid plan?

Yes. Free supports a manual setup. Plus expands manual tracking and push reminders in the iOS app; Pro adds Plaid-powered automation and connected spending tools.

What happens if I cancel or downgrade?

Moving to Free takes effect at the end of the current billing period, so paid access continues until that boundary. Switching to a cheaper paid plan takes effect right away, with a prorated credit for unused time on the current plan.

Privacy & security

Can I export my data or delete my account?

Yes. Settings provides JSON backup and focused CSV exports. Account deletion uses a confirmed flow that cancels billing, removes the authentication identity, and purges owner-scoped app data, subject to the narrow retention cases described in the Privacy Policy.

No. The Privacy Policy states that MoneyRoom does not sell personal information.

Does the same account work on iOS and the web?

Yes. Your MoneyRoom account works across the web and the iOS app. Plans and billing are managed on the web.

Where are push reminders available?

Push reminders are available in the iOS app. Web access remains useful for managing the workspace, account settings, exports, and plan changes.
